The Daemon of Fear

Another character for my animation, this daemon character takes nods from anime and makes use of cloth sims to be eerie and uncanny!

The Grand Library was meant to be the environment for my animation, and it took several passes to get it to the point I wanted!
Some character art I did for the old animation project, this daemon character is one of the enemies that the swordsman would face!
A fun, fast preview of the character I am currently working on!

Happy New Year everyone!
A blade of power cannot be forged with the common techniques of smithing. A blade of power must go beyond mere metallurgy. But what one blade of power needs is not the same as what another needs.
What did the Blades of Shakti need you ask?
Ore stolen from the stars, humming with the power of a thousand suns.
A forge imbued with touch of the Gods themselves. The flames whisper in the voice of the divine, almost taking on the shape of fingers as they shaped the metal of the blade.
A hammer and anvil versed in the art of the Occult, each strike singing a song tinged with death.
A sorcerer priest with an unsurpassed understanding of the Arcane to inscribe the blade with litanies of power.
A blacksmith with the talent to fuse it all into one.
And a swordsman of skill to unleash the blade in a dance of war.
Sharing out a speed modeling piece I did over Thanksgiving! I call these the Blades of Shakti!
These pieces are actually a part of an animation I am working on, so subscribe to not miss out!
I’ve been really doing all sorts of new things for this animation. Check out this map I made for the world of Age of Spite! It utilizes 8 naming languages!
You can see here the various nations and regions of this brand new dark fantasy world!

So I ended up finishing my speed modeling piece a few days ago. Here’s how it came out:
I had to shy away from using sand dunes, as I had initially planned, since the sand texture simply wasn’t working very well. I’m sure if I spent a bit more time, I could get more polish on this, but that’s how it goes with basically every art piece ever made.

Don’t miss out on the rest of my pieces, coming here!
So the speed modeling piece is progressing! Here’s what we are at:
I’ve added some more details and am experimenting with lighting. The background will likely be changed, of sure. For some reason, the render has glitched slightly, resulting in that white spot in the bottom right corner.
I will continue to make more progress on this and hope to finish it in the next two to three days. Next is going to be adding potentially one more detail to the wall itself.
